How is Hydrogen Peroxide Produced?

0

Hydrogen peroxide is most commonly produced by the Reidl-Pfleiderer process which involves the bubbling of compressed air through a solution of anthracene. The hydrogen peroxide is removed and the resulting anthraquinone byproduct is reduced back to anthracene by hydrogen gas in the presence of a metal catalyst to start the process over again.
