How is hydroelectric power used?
Hydroelectroc power is used the way all electric power is used: to light our world and run our civilization. Hydropower is used almost exclusively in this modern age to generate electric power. There are very few grain mills using water power to turn millstones. And not too many water wheels are left that run spinning shafts off which belts are hung to turn machines like in the days of old.
