How is HWC meeting its social and environmental responsibilities?
• We believe it is our responsibility to do business in a responsible manner that duly respects the rights and interests of our customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers and the communities in which we operate. Our solid foundation provides the framework we need for success. • HWC implemented a company-wide recycling program in 2008. Various materials up to, but not limited to wooden reels, paper, plastic and aluminum are being recycled on a regular basis. • We continue to seek ways in which we can eliminate waste and reduce energy consumption to help protect the earth’s natural resources. • In the past, we have contributed to various organizations such as: American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Houston Food Bank, Hurricane Relief Efforts, March of Dimes, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Toys for Tots and Salvation Army to name a few.
