How is Home Helpers Different from other Organizations?
We start with a face-to-face meeting in the client’s home to understand the situation, environment, and the client’s needs and expectations. Many other organizations simply assign the next available person and ask that they show up at a specified time. To us, it’s all about relationships. After the initial discussion, we determine what we believe would be the best match, prepare and coach the caregiver to ensure a good fit. Then we set up an in-home introduction with the client (and often the client’s family) prior to committing the caregiver. The purpose of the introduction is to ensure that the caregiver and the client are a good match and give each person the chance to become comfortable with eachother.
