How is Hoboken New Jersey? Anyone who lives or has recently visited there?

Hoboken is supposedly a really great place to live as a young adult. It has lots of new development–fun and interesting places to go if you’re single and want a nightlife or social life. Many people move there because, frankly, NYC is expensive. (Hoboken’s not the cheapest place, though.) You’re just across the river to Manhattan, too! Traffic isn’t any worse than other places in NJ–it’s all pretty bad, and poorly signed. Dental assts. are in demand. I would line up my housing and job as simultaneously as possible because both are competitive.

Hoboken is good for young singles. Washington St on a sat night is like one big party. You should be able to find a job in your field.

Hoboken is only one square mile. Most people don’t even have a car and commute to NYC on the PATH Train. More jobs like that in NYC.

Traffic in Hoboken? Last time I was there for a few days I didn’t even notice any traffic. The new part is nice, and the old part isn’t– so there is a pretty clear and distinct difference between both areas. As far as job opportunities for a dental assistant, if there are none in Hoboken, you are only 15 minutes outside of the city.
