An observance sponsored by the Great Neck SANE / Peace Action, the Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives and other peace activist groups will call for an end to the war in Iraq and peace with Iran. Speakers scheduled for the program at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock include Assemb. Michelle Schimel, Rabbi Devora Marcus of Temple Beth El of Great Neck and the Rev. Mark Lukens of Bethany Congregational Church, East Rockaway. Jon Kaiman, supervisor of the Town of North Hempstead, is listed as co-chair with Stanley Romaine, president of Great Neck SANE. He said he agreed with a statement that Obama made that we have a “moral responsibility” to act and to eventually get rid of all weapons.
