How is Hemoccult ICT different from other Hemoccult products?
As an immunochemical FOBT, Hemoccult ICT yields inherently superior specificity when compared to guaiac-based FOBTs. Hemoccult ICT does not require any drug or diet restrictions on the part of the patient and it can recognize small amounts of hemoglobin as a biological indicator of GI disease. Increased sensitivity of Hemoccult ICT has also been demonstrated based on clinical studies.
