How is heat supplied to campus buildings?
The centralized Heat Plant uses four boilers to supply steam to virtually all campus buildings. Three 60,000 pound per hour boilers and one 30,000 pound per hour boiler operate every hour, year round to supply steam for building heating and hot water usage. Emphasis is being made on proper operation and correct chemical treatment to enhance the efficiency of operation.
