How is Gods grace outrageous?
That is one of the most beautiful lyrics and music I’ve heard in a long time. Congratulations to Godfrey Birtill for the glorious rendition. I’m sure it was a play on Amazing Grace, but this song is magical. Outrageous Grace — exceeding all bounds; unexpected. In the world we live in today there is more war (exposed in the media), more murders, all crimes. We have become all too used to all of the sins on TV, movies, books, children’s comedy even, and we are not as shocked by these horrors as we should be. Thus, Outrageous Grace, goes beyond the boundaries in which we live to comfort Christians — we are saved by grace, and grace alone. We can never earn our way to heaven, we’ve already been bought and paid for by the horrible bloody death of Jesus Christ, Son of God. A sacrifice any parent can look at and see was as difficult for the Father as for the Son to complete. We can turn to the Lord in troubles and in great times, and honor Him because His grace is sufficient unto us. T.
