How is Girls in Action organized?
Girls in Action may be organized in a variety of ways, depending on the setting, the size of the church, and the number of leaders available. If possible, GA groups with younger girls or girls of all ages should not have more than 15 members. Older GA groups should not have more than 20 members. Some possibilities for organizing are: • GA group for each grade level • GA group for younger Gas and one for older Gas • separate groups for first graders, sixth graders, and grades 2–5 • all grades together Who leads? Each GA group should have a GA leader and an assistant GA leader. If there is more than one group of GA, a GA coordinator will be needed to help coordinate the work of the groups and to represent GA on the WMU leadership team. A GA leader may also serve as the coordinator if necessary.
