How is Gigatek Wireless service different from a T-1 line?
– Major savings on bandwidth costs. Typically a full T-1 (1.54 Mbps) costs $750 to $1000 per month for the bandwidth only. In addition, a setup fee and equipment fee are due up front. – Local system/local support. Our network design keeps all the connections under local control. Our company-wide commitment to customer service always puts you first. – No Telco local loop charges. Traditional copper data lines require a “local loop” in order to complete the connection for a dedicated line. The local loop is a central office connection that they charge a monthly fee for the “last mile connectivity”. This fee, determined by the distance from the central office (CO) is ~$200-450 per month. A connection to our high-speed wireless network does not require a local loop to complete the connection, so there is no charge.
