How is GameSpy Arcade different from GameSpy 3D?
Players familiar with our other multiplayer application, GameSpy 3D will find that Arcade is very similar and offers a wider range of games and features. Arcade offers online gaming for everything from chess and checkers to real-time strategy games and other “peer to peer” games (games that have a start point and an endpoint, requiring a game lobby where players can meet before the game actually starts). Arcade still offers the instant shoot-em-up action of Quake, Unreal and Half-Life, and GameSpy 3D users will find that many of Arcade’s features are more intelligent, faster and easier to use. Arcade is also much easier to use than GameSpy3D, especially for new gamers. All the games you can play are listed on the left side of the program. The chat rooms, Web pages and game setup screens are all listed in the middle. And on the right-hand side of the application, you’ll see a list of all of your buddies who are online and where they are in Arcade, whether they’re browsing news or playin
