How is FTE figured for students on block schedules?
For students on block schedules, you must look at the entire schedule and split it in half. A student who attends more than half the day (everyday of the schedule) is reported as 1.0 FTE. A student who attends half the day or less (every day of the schedule) is reported as 0.5 FTE. Anything less than half-time (meaning they don’t attend school every day of the schedule) gets reported as hours of instruction.
