How is FirstResponder.gov different from other homeland security and emergency response-related websites?
The goal of FirstResponder.gov is not to create content or applications, but leverage the content and applications already developed by the community at the Federal, State, Local and Tribal levels. A key strategy in the development of FirstResponder.gov will be to develop strong partnerships with service providers. (A service provider is anyone who has valuable content and/or applications to share with the user community.) In addition, FirstResponder.gov provides direct access to other DHS first responder resources.
