How is FedEx addressing whether all of its business critical suppliers and affiliates are Year2000 ready?

All business critical suppliers and affiliates are assessed by the end-user divisions and asked to provide evidence that they understand the Year 2000 issue and have a project plan that is on schedule. Through presentations, telephone and written communications they are asked to provide evidence that their project plan includes computer software, embedded systems, assessment of suppliers and affiliates and development of contingency plans. In addition, we are actively working with member airlines of the Air Transport Association (ATA) of America to address the status of US airports, government agencies, and critical vendors and suppliers common to all airlines.
