The core MCEITS systems and virtualized hosted systems sitting on MCEITS hardware will be able to take advantage of the High Availability (HA) configuration built into the infrastructure. Using VMWare and VMotion, MCEITS will be able to shift virtual systems between different physical platforms to perform scheduled maintenance. For physical hardware, all MCEITS physical servers are built in redundant configurations to enable for the shutdown of one system to support maintenance. For single instance systems, maintenance will be conducted during off hours to minimize the impact to the customer base.
