“Excalibur” is primarily the name of Arthur’s sword in Sir Thomas Malory’s “Le Morte d’Arhur” and the name of Arthur’s sword in later works that are to some degree derivative of “Le Morte d’Arthur”. “Excalibur’ is not the name of a medieval romance. There is no medieval romance named “Excalibur” or anything like “Excalibur”. If you are referring to a modern book named “Excalibur” or the film “Excalibur”, obviously since they are modern, they cannot be medieval romances. However, most of these presumably resemble medieval romances in some ways. Do you means how does one of those modern works resemble a true medieval romance?
