How is EX TM linked to Public Service Renewal?
The Clerk of the Privy Councils Fourteenth Annual Report to the Prime Minister on the Public Service of Canada and the Public Service Renewal Action Plan for 2007-08 identified the implementation of ADM Talent Management as a short-term Public Service renewal objective. In response to the success of this exercise, the 2008 Public Service Renewal (PSR) Action Plan requested that Deputy Heads build on the ADM Talent Management exercise and expand talent management to their entire executive cadre by March 2009. To support DHs, the PSR Action Plan required the CPSA to develop a common framework and tools for EX TM.
