How is Everyday Self Defense different from other personal safety programs?
Everyday Self Defense is the result of the Janet Nelson’s unique experience and training as a social worker and a martial artist. She has realized that for many of us personal safety training should be targeted at everyday threats to personal safety and well being not the extremely rare event that most of us fear – the violent stranger attack. Janet has spent years developing a unique combination of skills focused directly on our everyday self-defense needs. Unlike most “canned” programs, each workshop is tailored to the needs of your organization. She has ideas and advice to help you maintain your chosen and necessary activities – not warnings that limit your mobility and restrict your freedom. In Everyday Self Defense, you will hear “If you have to work alone at night, you should…” instead of “Don’t ever work alone at night.
