How is Everbrite applied?
First, the metal must be cleaned. Polish the metal to the desired finish with your favorite polish. Some polishes have acid in them to clean the metal. If the polish has acid in it, the metal must be neutralized by washing it with calcium carbonate or baking soda and water. If the acid is not neutralized, it can react with the solvent in Everbrite, making black streaks. Remove any polish residue with solvents like xylene and denatured alcohol to make sure the metal is completely clean. Xylene and denatured alcohol can be purchased at paint stores or hardware stores. Once the metal is clean, Everbrite can be applied by aerosol can, spraying the coating on, wiping it on with an applicator, rolling it on with a high-density foam roller or dipping the metal into the coating. Let dry and enjoy.
