How is EMTEC Funded?
EMTEC is funded by the Ohio Department of Development’s Thomas Edison Program, the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Program, other government contracts, direct project investment, and your membership dues. Combined, these funds help you remain viable in the commercial markets of Ohio, the Nation, and the World. EMTEC’s not-for-profit status enables the Center to qualify for matching funds from both the State of Ohio and the Federal Government. That means every dollar you invest in EMTEC is leveraged many times over. EMTEC’s ‘Big Idea’ The ‘big idea’ behind EMTEC is to grow the economy by applying existing technological strength where the market most needs it. The reason this idea has worked–and will continue to work–is that the needs of the private sector (EMTEC’s industry members) come first in determining EMTEC’s path and directing EMTEC’s priorities.
