How is education in Adelaide, Australia compared to education in England, UK?
In South Australia most people will turn 16 during year 10 and 18 during year 12 as children need to be 5 before they start school. I live in Adelaide and have primary school aged children but I can’t compare it to the UK system sorry. My impression is that in South Australia primary education is excellent, but that high school is generally not quite of the same standard as some other Australian states. After high school students attend either university or TAFE (trades etc) for further education.
I have no idea what an A level is but im in High School in Adelaide, definitely want to go private if you can afford it. There are allot of very reasonably priced good private schools as well as some much more expensive ones… As for university and stuff Adelaide will become host to the first Royal Institute affiliated organisation out side of the U.K…so Adelaide is quite good for university, there are three major ones, Adelaide being very good for engineering especially. Also you won’t be alone, i know quite a few people that have moved from the U.K to here in Senior High school, and they’re doing fine.
