How is Dwell Time calculated?
Dwell time is calculated based upon the following: • For soldiers that have never participated in a combat deployment, operational deployment or dependent restricted tour the Dwell Time will be calculated by subtracting the Soldiers Basic Active Service Date (BASD) from the current date. • For soldiers that previously served in a combat or operational deployment (non-combat) for 30 consecutive days or 60 non-consecutive days, the Dwell Time will be calculated based upon the most recent combat or operational deployment (non-combat) by subtracting the return date from the current date.
