How is Display-to-Go different from the VGA connector on my laptop?

Display-to-Go is a secondary graphic adapter. Since it is a secondary graphic controller, it can independently control the resolution of the secondary display device. An example of this would be the notebook LCD resolution is set to 800×600, 16-bit and the secondary display device can be set to 1024×768, 16-bit. If you use the VGA out connector on the laptop the user is always limited to the resolution of the notebook.
