How is discipline handled at the Child Study Centre?
We believe that all members of our school community (students, staff, families, volunteers and adult students) have a right to learn, work and play in an environment supportive of their self-concept, safety, health and dignity. We believe that students, staff, families, volunteers and adult students all have a responsibility to contribute to such an environment and share the responsibility of fostering positive learning attitudes and acceptable behavior. Our focus is on supporting the development of social competency through positive encouragement, modeling of appropriate social skills, the use of logical consequences wherever appropriate and by supporting the use of social problem solving skills.
