How is DHEA made?
DHEA is made naturally by the adrenal glands, two small organs that sit atop the kidneys. This natural production declines with age and certain illnesses. DHEA supplements are processed from Mexican Wild Yam. Extracts of Wild Yam undergo a six step engineering process where chemicals called sterols are extracted, and chemically spliced to create DHEA. K7 DHEA then undergoes a further process called catalyzation to increase its bioavailability to the body.
