How is destroying rainforests a good thing???

0

It should never be a good thing, even for economical reasons. Rain forests are the most endangered of all the types of forest, but provide 2 very essential things. One is a carbon storage and oxygen generation and the other is vast amounts of biodiversity in a very small area, as compared to the rest of earth. Civilizations at the edge of rain forests should not look to their value as extracted resources but the value they provide as being intact and whole. If you need to answer that question, in terms of destroying the rain-forest has some good points to it, is nothing more than short sighted political, economic and anthropocentric paradigm thinking.
