How is Cuauhtémoc Blanco feeling about his third MLS season?
“Very good, I am happy. The truth is things have gone well for me here in MLS. My teammates are good guys, and to be honest, I am very happy; happy to be in Chicago.” How would you describe the team’s campaign throughout the 2009 season? “I think it is a very good one so far, and we have to continue working hard. We are in the season’s homestretch and we aim to make it to MLS Cup, which is our goal.” This is your third season and, as in past years, you are the team’s key player and fan favorite. What is missing for Cuauhtémoc to feel 100 percent satisfied with the Fire? “Winning a championship. Like I said before, you set goals throughout your career, and winning a championship with the Chicago Fire is very important to me. Winning the Cup is very important. My teammates and I are on the same page and we have to achieve our goal. We have been very close to winning it before but mistakes have cost us games.” So what must be done in order to raise the MLS Cup at the end of the season? “B
