How is Connectra managed?
Connectra gateways can be managed either standalone or centrally. When managed centrally Connectra gateways are managed by Check Point SmartCenter or Provider-1 management framework. In this configuration any of the objects already defined in the management system (e.g., for the purpose of creating firewall rules) can be put into use in creating access rules, and all of the logging, monitoring, analysis and reporting capabilities of these systems can be used with Connectra. When managed Standalone, Connectra is managed directly from a SmartConsole application that includes Policy editing, log tracking and monitoring capabilities.
