How is communism evident in todays society??
It isn’t. Communism is a particular political/economic system with distinctive features, including the instutionalization of a dictatorship and abolition of markets. There are some elements in American society and institutions that are nominallly “socialist”–like ownership and operation of our roads by the state. That’s the case in every developed/capitalist society–some tasks are better done by the state, even if most are best left to the private sector. There’s a lot of confusion, however–mostly as a result of right-wig rhetoric. Communism and socialism are entirely different systems of organizing society–and socialism does not preclude market institutions, and many nations who are more or less socialist are also free and democratic. Communism, by definition, is none of those things.
