HOW IS COLOR MATCHING DONE FOR TRADITIONAL JOBS?
When color matching on Traditional jobs (paint and vinyl), production can match paint to almost any color desired except for neons and flourescents. The Graphics Department also stocks Gerber vinyl colors (other brands name vinyls can be ordered if they are required for a particular job). HOW IS COLOR MATCHING DONE FOR DIGITAL JOBS? Inkjet and Electrostatic printers print in the CMYK mode (Cyan,Magenta,Yellow,Black). This mode is a 4-color process for exceptional color matching. Please provide your files in CMYK mode or use the Pantone Process Matching System color guide. RGB files are usable for inkjet prints, however it is requested that they be converted to CMYK and color corrected prior to being sent to us. Because CMYK and RGB are not equal color modes, theirs will not convert accurately. Please provide a full color positive for close color matching. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PMS AND CMYK?
