How is Coaching Different Than Psychotherapy or Management Consulting?
Therapy for the most part delves into the psychology of the past and how a person got to be where they are today. Management consultants deliver solutions to problems that are predetermined based on their expertise. Coaching, in contrast, believes the client focuses on where the client is now and where the client wants to go. Solutions are created by the client. And unlike a pop psych program and how to courses, coaching is an interactive process forged by the alliance of the client and the coach.
