1. Mitigation: where we look towards reduction in the emission of ‘greenhouse’ gasses through energy / process efficiency measures, the Kyoto Protocol for example. 2. Adaptation: where we seek to ensure services, development, business, communities, infrastructure, the economy and the natural environment are resilient to the realities of a changing climate. 3. Economic: where we identify and understand the economic implications, comprehend and mitigate for potential negative impacts and recognise and exploit opportunities arising.
