How is class rank calculated?
When it comes to rank, you can be pushed to 21st if you’re off by .001 of a point, so you have to really try as best as you can. It would be nice if you strove for the highest grades that were possible for you, but don’t stress yourself out too much. Keep on top of your extracurriculars as well. When it comes to valedictorian and salutatorian, then sometimes extra factors like leadership can come into play. Honors and AP classes can boost your GPA by a lot, by the way. So if you can handle them, take a shot at them and challenge yourself. Because a B in an AP class can be worth a lot more than an A+ in a regular one.
