How is CKU different from a convention?
CKU is a private, more structured, retreat-type event with a timeline of activities, rather than the open forum of shopping and classes from vendors that is found at conventions and other consumer shows. Featuring smaller and more exclusive classes, CKU offers a unique educational experience for as many as 500 students who register months in advance. The quality of the education students receive at CKU is unmatched by any other consumer trade shows and local classes. CKU classes are meant to build scrapbooking skills and techniques rather than simply sell specific products. Plus, the social atmosphere at every CKU is unique in that students are surrounded by the same scrapbooking enthusiasts for the length of the event. Students can build long-lasting friendships and enjoy a close camaraderie with others who share their passion.
