How is City of Heroes different from other MMORPGs?
Most notably, the game is not based on the fantasy or science-fiction elements of most other MMORPGs. It centers around Paragon City, a metropolis under siege from various villainous groups, and allows you to play a super-powered defender of law and order. CoH provides a deep background story for Paragon City, and numerous storylines which weave into this background. Players can patrol the streets fighting crime, or go on instanced missions to stop specific threats. The game has been designed from the outset to be fast-paced, with little downtime. Character creation is very rich, allowing you to choose a distinct look for your hero from billions of possible combinations.
