A&E’s Hammertime viral video, directed by Marc Klasfeld of Rockhard Films, has launched and is racking up massive You Tube hits — almost 700,000 in just the first three days. Klasfeld’s viral video, a fun and spirited piece, was done for the cable channel’s new MC Hammer reality show called “Hammertime,” which debuts this month. The viral is designed to show that Hammer is back big time, and the device was going to be a seemingly spontaneous flash mob of dancers wearing Hammer’s signature baggy pants, breaking out in dance in a store. “I brought in a great choreographer, Kishaya Dudley, who choreographed the dance and worked with our diverse crowd of 60 before the filming,” says the director. “We were looking for real people of all ages and types. At the auditions we got some great dancers, but we also got some whack jobs. It was pretty hilarious.
