How Is Child Support Calculated In Maryland?

You should probably call your states bureau of child support. They can tell you the most accurate information. Each state probably has its own laws and regulations on how they figure it. I know it depends on the absent parents gross income and how many kids they have to support. Insurance I don’t know about that answer. I do know the court system goes by the absent parents gross monthly income and how many kids they have to figure it out. If the absent parent is not working they probably go buy minimum wage on a 40 hour work week to calculate it per month that way. Still going by how many kids the absent parent has I assume. Just because the absent parent is not working does not mean that they are not accruing a rears owed in child support. The law does not cut them any slack. It all depends on the judge though and the courts what they put in the stipulation on the court order. The absent parent can always fight it to try and get it lowered which don’t always happen the courts are thin
