How is Chen Style taught?
(Also see Teaching Method) Chen style internal skills are traditionally taught by means of two classical routines: Old Frame One (Lao Jia Yilu) and Old Frame Two (Lao Jia Yilu). The classical routines are single person sets of movements that are joined in a continuous flowing manner. These Routines are practiced by beginners and seasoned Masters alike as, like layers of an onion, one searches for ever greater depth in their exercise.
