How is ChargeMeLater able to reduce the risk of identity fraud?
ChargeMeLater uses a unique patent-pending technology to verify the identity of a consumer before issuing his/her membership. Specifically, before an online shopper becomes a member or prior to making an original purchase, he/she must provide unique, personal identifying information such as(the last four digits of the user’s Social Security Number or date of birth) during the registration process. ChargeMeLater uses this information provided with other non-public information, to verify both the user’s age and identity. Once the user is registered, ChargeMeLater issues the member with a unique 14-digit membership number that must be used, along with the last four digits of the member’s Social Security Number, to make future purchases.
