I just posted to my wall that we should all donate to a child abuse prevention charity, because changing your FB profile picture does nothing to actually help abused children. Also, the new “meme” going around is to change your profile back because 60 Minutes allegedly said this meme was created by pedophiles with the intention that children will see the cartoon pics and add them all as friends.

I saw a thing going going around the previous week about changing the profile pic to a cartoon character just as a fun childhood memory thing. Someone probably added the child abuse angle later to try and make more people do it, for whatever reason.
