How is Catholic Charities USA advocating for moral federal budget decisions?
A. Calling on Congress and the Administration to make just and moral choices in the federal budget process is a fundamental part of Catholic Charities USA’s legislative agenda. We work in Washington directly with policymakers to inform them of our positions and the real life experiences of our member agencies across the country and those they serve, demonstrating the importance of adequate federal funding for social services. We also work with the Catholic Charities community across the nation to encourage agencies to speak with their federal legislators to bring the messages about federal spending home.
