How is Cal State San Marcos planning to observe World AIDS Day?

0

Dr. Valadez We will be observing World AIDS Day in two ways. The first way will be the displaying of the Names Project AIDS Quilt on the fifth floor of Kellogg Library. That will be arriving here on the 27th of November and will be on display until the 5th. In addition to the quilt, there will be posters chronicling the lives of people who are impacted by AIDS, that will be an observance of their plight and to increase awareness. The other observance will be the candlelight vigil on December 1st, 2006, which will take place at the Cesar Chavez plaza. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the evening and will end roughly around 8 o’clock. The candlelight vigil will consist of the lighting of the candles, walking around campus through Craven Circle. We will have speakers and refreshments.
