How is Blepharoplasty or eye lift surgery done?
Blepharoplasty can either be performed under general or a local anaesthetic, the decision being what is considered to be in the patient best interest. There are different aspects to a Blepharoplasty that are available at our clinic. • An upper blepharoplasty is performed along crease lines of upper eyelid to remove excess skin. • A lower blepharoplasty is performed along the lower eyelash line and a crease line to remove excess skin. • It is common for both upper and lower blepharoplasty to be performed at the same time. • Eye bags removal which removes stubborn fat deposits under the lower eye area can be performed at the same time of the other Blepharoplastyprocedures described above. • For removal of lines and wrinkles around the eyes we offer laser treatment using Active FX. This procedure only requires anaesthetic topical cream to be applied prior to treatment.
