How is being a solo artist different from being in a group like Cypress Hill?
Doing the solo artist thing, there’s a little bit more pressure, you know what I mean, because people expect you to live up to the Cypress Hill name and success and whatnot. The fact that I don’t have my three other brothers behind me, you know, onstage and stuff like that or even in the studio creatively. It’s a little more pressure. … I love challenges, so that’s why it was appealing to me to go out here and try to do something on my own and carry it on my back. … Starting from ground zero as a solo artist makes me appreciate what I’ve been able to achieve with Cypress Hill.
