How is assessment conducted?
There is no written or practical examination at the end of the course. Assessment is on a continuous basis. This assessment covers two main areas: Teaching practice TP is the core of the assessment. Candidates are expected to develop a growing awareness of the needs of learners, plan and prepare lessons which are staged appropriately to include effective interaction among learners and also address the needs of individual students. Candidates will also need to competently demonstrate basic principles of classroom management and lesson delivery. Written assignments There are four assignments that must be completed during the course. Each focuses on a specific area of the syllabus. The assignments are designed to be practical and useful; informed by some of your classroom experiences and to inform future classroom activities. All candidates receive regular guidance and assistance where assessment is concerned.
