How is anaerobic cellular respiration different from aerobic cellular respiration?

0

Anerobic Respiration is commonly referred to as fermentation. In this process, no oxygen is used;hence the name, anaerobic respiration. It is either lactic acid fermentation or alcoholic fermentation. Alcoholic respiration is in beer or alcohol and lactic acid fermentation is in muscle cells. the lungs can only take in so much oxygen, so the cells switch from Cellular respiration to fermentation. this uses less oxygen and more energy. Lactic acid fermentation creates the burning sensation after exercise and that is why muscles feel sore. Cellular respirtation is the production of energy by breaking down food in the presence of oxygen to create energy, called ATP, so the body can function.
