Well a person like a schizophrenic can have complex hallucinations, delusions of persecution/grandeur (paranoid type), can shift from excessive activity to rigged activity, lack response to outside stimulants (catatonic type), have incoherent speech, social isolation, disorganized/odd behavior (disorganized type), or hallucinations, deficits in daily functioning, inappropriate responses (undifferentiated type). These are all types of Psychotic Disorders and all require MANDATORY drug therapy. Without it, the person can be a danger to themselves and others. Over time, the person can become “normal” and be able to function in our society. Many people who are “crazy” could have been misdiagnosed and given medicine that does NOT help their problem. One example is a woman depicted in the movie “Nobody’s Child”. She has spent most of her life in a mental hospital and was misdiagnosed until one doctor diagnoses her with a less severe disorder and gives her the medicine that actually helps her
