Some of the larger particles of the Microlon resin may not pass through the Frantz-type oil filter. This Frantz-type cartridge must be removed or by-passed during the treatment period to avoid a possible loss of some of the particulate. Nothing in the Microlon treatment is larger than 5 microns, however.
