How is aeronautical engineering different than others?

0

I work as an aviation engineer for the military. And the difference between aeronautical engineering and other branches is it’s the only type that just focuses on aircraft design and principles of flight. If you go into aeronautical design know that most, if not the whole field is based in the defense industry. There tons of different paths inside the field: vibration, structure, test flight, integration of other systems, instrumentation, safety and avionics. Anyone of these branches could be a possibly career path. If I had to recommend the most lucrative branch I’d go into integration of system which is more like management, but it pays the best and has the most chance for career development.
